Clifford Snoddy, 64, Rt. 297, Flatwoods, died this morning at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital after a brief illness. Born July 30, 1906, in Greenup County, he was a son of the late Charles and Cora Pennington Snoddy.

He was a painter with the C&O Railway Company for 48 years, a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Carmen and a member of the Herald memorial United Methodist Church at Raceland.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Gertrude Stephenson Snoddy in 1953 and his second wife, Mrs Mary Stanley Snoddy in 1966. Surviving are three sons, Charles R. Snoddy of Wurtland, Billy G. Snoddy of Ironton, and Harry L. Snoddy of Louisville; one step-son, Robert Stanley of Flatwoods; four daughters, Miss Ella Marie Snoddy at home, Mrs Louise French, Mrs Edith Smith, both of Raceland and Mrs. Helen Drewery of Hobart, Okla.; Three brothers, James Snoddy of Newport News, Va.; Chester Snoddy of Pittsburgh, Pa,; and Arthur Snoddy of Ashland; one sister Miss Jessie Snoddy of Raceland, 25 grandchildren and on great- grandchild.

The body is at the Carman Funeral Home in Russell, where funeral arrangements are incomplete.
