Dennis L. Bonnett Jr., 78, of Brackenridge, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. He was born Sept. 9, 1933, in Kittanning, son of the late Dennis L. Bonnett Sr. and Greta (Benton) Bonnett. He lived in Brackenridge for the past seven years, prior to which he lived in Natrona Heights and Fawn Township. He was an inspection foreman for 44 years at Allegheny Ludlum Industries, Brackenridge, retiring in 1995, and was an Army veteran. Mr. Bonnett was a member of First Baptist Church, in Tarentum, and the Men of Retirement Age. He was a 1951 graduate of Tarentum High School. Mr. Bonnett enjoyed Highland sports, especially basketball and football, his camp in North Buffalo Township and especially his family. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Pam J. (Hanford) Bonnett; children, Douglas (Karen) Bonnett, of Buffalo Township, Joel Bonnett, of Tarentum, Jenny (Tracy) Edwards, of Natrona Heights, Josh Bonnett, of Alliance, Ohio, and David (Jamee) Bonnett, of Natrona Heights; grandchildren, Wade, Seth, Mary Rachel, Zachary, Michaela, Alexandra, Olivia, Gina, Samantha and Drew; one niece and two nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary (Stobert) Bonnett, in 1982; and brother, Ronald Claire "Butch" Bonnett, in 2011. Relatives and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at DUSTER FUNERAL HOME INC., Tenth Avenue at Corbet Street, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Services will be conducted at noon Monday in Trinity United Methodist Church, Brackenridge, with his pastor, the Rev. Jeffrey Vanderhoff, officiating. Everyone please meet at the church. Interment will be private.
