David Bayne, 77, of 125 Kruse Lane, Milton, Ky., died Saturday, July 29, 2006, at Baptist Northeast Hospital in La Grange, Ky.
He was born Feb. 13, 1929, in Trimble County, Ky., the son of Wilford and Lizzie Chandler Bayne. He was a farmer and was a retired employee of Jefferson Proving Ground. He was a member of the Milton Lions Club and Mount Byrd Christian Church, and was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by two daughters, Marsha Taylor and Myrna Persell, both of Milton, Ky.; two sons, Mike Bayne and Mark Bayne, both of Milton, Ky.; three sisters, Bonita Shelton and Beryl Maddox, both of Madison, and Mary Stapp of Houston, Texas; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bonnie Bayne, on May 19, 2001; one son, Charles Rodney Bayne; and one brother, Junior Bayne.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Byrd Christian Church. Burial will be in Moffett Cemetery.
Friends may call at Wood-Oakley Funeral Home in Milton, Ky., from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until noon Tuesday, and at the church from noon Tuesday until the service.
