Allan E. Speidel, 53, 3300 S. Meeker Ave., died Thursday in Ball Memorial Hospital. He worked at Borg-Warner from 1979 until he retired in 1994. He formerly worked at Ball Corp. from 1968 to 1979.
Mr. Speidel was born in Hartford City and graduated form Hartford City High School. He was a member of Free Will Baptist Church and Indiana Street Rod Association.
Survivors include his wife, Donna; six sons, Jeffery Speidel (wife-Lisa) and Chadwick Speidel (wife-Kelly), both of Hartford City, Allan Speidel II (wife-Regina), Montpelier, and James Greene (wife-Dee Dee), Douglas Greene (wife-Kelly), and Tod Greene (wife-Mary), all of Muncie; two daughters, Rhea Speidel, Muncie, and Lonna Paolmaki, Eau Claire, Wis.; two brothers, Jim Speidel and Jack Speidel, and a sister, Betty Speidel, all of Hartford City; nine grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, Joseph and Edna Harold Speidel, three brothers, Bobby, Adelma Earl and Dean Speidel, and a sister, Bernetta Speidel, are deceased.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Calling will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and before services Monday at the mortuary.
