Kellie was born to Williard R. Butler and Edna Jean Butler and raised in Clarkston.

Kellie attended Clarkston public schools before moving to Lewiston, attending Lewiston public schools. Kellie attended classes at Lewis-Clark State College for a short time, also attending University of Alaska culinary school in Anchorage. Kellie worked as a chef at many restaurants during her lifetime.

Kellie married Dan McCall in June 1987 and lived in Boise until moving to Yakima and the Tri-Cities in 1989. She moved in late 1989 to Kendrick, where her husband worked for the Idaho Department of Transportation, moving to the IDOT Bald Mountain site in 1990. Kellie learned to hunt and fish while living on the Lochsa River, loving to hunt and fish with her husband.

Kellie and Dan moved to Wasilla in 1999, where she enjoyed long hunting and fishing camps in the remote areas of Alaska, riding behind her husband on four-wheelers 60 to 80 miles into the Alaskan wilderness.

She was involved in the Catholic Church in Wasilla and was actively involved in helping others in need throughout the community.

Kellie also loved her dogs and cats, which she spent hours with after becoming ill in 2007 with breast cancer.

In addition, Kellie loved to collect knickknacks, her favorites being salt and pepper shakers, but also ceramic pigs; she was an avid knitter, making blankets and throws.

Her many friends in Wasilla have stated she was a loving, caring, giving person whom they were always blessed to be around.

Kellie survived breast cancer but was finally taken from this Earth on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, of lymph gland cancer along with lung cancer, at Mat-Su Regional Hospital in Wasilla.

She will be greatly missed by her surviving husband and family and friends.
