Rev. Albert Logsdon, age 91 of Clarkson, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2015 at his residence. He was born October 22, 1923 in Grayson County, the son of Bill & Elizabeth “Lizzybell” Powell-Logsdon. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and a member of the Jericho Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Webb-Logsdon of Clarkson, seven children, Bro. Vurles Logsdon of Clarkson, Leavia Childress of Mammoth Cave, Scotty Logsdon, Anderson Vickless Logsdon, Rethia Webb, all of Clarkson, Verna Darlene Ward of Mt. Washington, & Elizabeth N. Buckman of Bee Spring, thirteen grandchildren, twenty two great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Other than his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Phillip Angelo Logsdon, one grandchild, Tonya Webb, six brothers, Shelby, Ted, Dillard, Leslie, Earl, & Owen Logsdon, and two sisters, Ruby Webb & Irene Logsdon.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday (August 31, 2015) at the Jericho Missionary Baptist Church in Hart County with Bro. Wayne Wells & Bro. Vurles Logsdon officiating. Burial will be in the Jericho Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 4:00 p.m., Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Monday at the church.
