Marlow - LEAMON OWEN BULLARD, 81, of Marlow, passed away Monday, July 31, 2006, in Marlow.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Eastside Baptist Church in Marlow with the Rev. Cal Hunter officiating. There will be another service at 11 a.m. Friday in Fairview Baptist Church at 1200 W. University, Durant, with the Rev. Dan Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Durant under direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.
Leamon was born Dec. 13, 1924, in Kenefic, to William M. and Mattie E. Harrell Bullard. He received his doctorate of theology from Andersonville Baptist Seminary in Camilla, Calif. He married Addie L. Diggs on Dec. 20, 1950, in Dougherty.
Leamon retired from civil service and as a Southern Baptist pastor. He lived in several locations in the United States, including Marlow, Durant, Achille, Altus, Cordell, Sulphur, Dougherty, Shawnee, and Big Canyon, Oklahoma; Santa Rosa, N.M.; and Rio Oso, Calif., all while pastoring Southern Baptist churches. He was the senior adult ministry leader and, during 46 years of ministry, he held many denominational offices.
He enjoyed fishing, camping out with family, and activities with senior adults. Leamon was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Marlow.
Survivors include his wife, Addie Bullard of the home; two sons, Owen J. Bullard and wife Song of Copperas Cove, Texas, and Bobby John Bullard and wife Brenda of Woodlawn, Tenn.; a daughter, Darla Bullard of Marlow; five grandchildren, Addie Song Bullard, Sandy Darla Bullard, Alexis Bullard, Jenna Varnell and Aiden; two sisters, Ina Lee Daniel of Duncan, and Willie L. Jamison of Midwest City; a sister-in-law, Ola Carrell and husband John of Bokchito; lifelong friends, Tommy Patterson of Muskogee and F.M. Roundtree of Hurley, N.M.; numerous nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jacky Wayne Bullard; a daughter, Donna Bullard; his parents; two brothers, Jay Bullard and Jack Bullard; and three sisters, Ruby Bullard, Alma Morgan and Kitty May Roundtree.
Bearers will be his nephews.
