He was born on October 20, 1925 to William and Mary (Staff) Duke in Clarke County, MS. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in WWII.
Archie is survived by his son, Charles Earl (Lisa) Duke; daughter, Charlene (Jerry) Downs; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laverne Duke; parents, William and Mary Duke; 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 29, 2015, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2015, 2:00 pm at the Wright's Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Grady Crowell officiating. Burial will take place in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
