Rose Marie Flygare
September 6, 1940 ~ August 21, 2015

Rose Marie Flygare passed away August 21, 2015 after battling many health issues.

Rose was born to Stanley Bensen and Renske Boekweg Rose on September 6, 1940. Rose graduated from Weber High School and was a cheerleader there.

Rose married George Christian Flygare on May 29, 1961. Rose had two children, Jennifer Pratt (Richard) and Christian Flygare (Tiffany). Rose adored her five grandchildren Casey, Royce (Michaela), Jaden Pratt, Merrick, and Malan Flygare. Her grandkids loved her so much.

Rose attended Weber State College where she earned her LPN and OR Tech certificates. Rose worked in the nursing profession for 37 years with amazing doctors and nurses. Rose dearly loved them all.

Rose traveled the whole world. She loved the outdoors. Rose enjoyed biking, hiking, kayaking, and skiing. Rose volunteered for the Ogden Valley Ski Team, worked at the World Cup Ski Races, and was the head gate judge at the Winter Olympics in 2002. Rose was a crazy Weber State basketball and Utah Jazz fan as well a Real Salt Lake Soccer fan. Rose loved the fine arts and music.

Rose is survived by her sister, Dorothy Rose Harris.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley Bensen Rose, Renske Boekweg Rose, brothers, Edison and August Rose, sisters, Mary Mae Davis and Verna Haslem.

Our family sincerely would like to thank all the doctors and nurses who took care of our mother, Rose. Our family would also like to thank all of her wonderful friends and family who made her life complete.

Funeral Services will be held at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2015. Friends may visit with the family Saturday prior to services.

Interment at the Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd., Ogden, Utah.
