Johnson, age 55 years, an old soldier died at 7 o'clock this AM at his home in Franklin Township from the effect of gun shot wounds received in the U.S.Army. he was a member of the "Knights of Honor" and was held in great respect by all who knew him. His burial takes place at Edwardsville, Wednesday afternoon.
