KERRVILLE – Irene L. Alberthal, 85, of Kerrville, TX passed from this life on August 25, 2015 at a local care facility in Kerrville, TX. Irene was born August 14, 1930 in Fredericksburg, TX to Edwin and Esther (Duecker) Schlueter.
As a child, Irene grew up in the Cave Creek Community. On December 28, 1949 she married the love of her life, William H. Alberthal in Fredericksburg, TX. She worked twenty years at Time Warner Cable before retirement. Irene was a loving mother of six children, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. In her spare time she loved being in the outdoors, gardening, traveling and cooking. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother that cared for her children and grandchildren because family meant the world to her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Esther Schlueter; husband, William H. Alberthal; daughter, Donna D. Alberthal; son, Michael W. Alberthal and grandson, David P. Weber Jr.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her daughters, Debra Brannon of Kerrville, TX, Becky Espinosa and husband David of San Antonio, TX, Terry Lyle and husband James of Kerrville, TX; sons, Keith Alberthal of Kerrville, TX, Kenneth Alberthal of Leander, TX; grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, Richard, Ryan, Stacy, James, Justin, Kristin and nephew, Stan Schlueter of Austin, TX
A Visitation will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Hwy, Kerrville, TX on Sunday, August 30, 2015 from 4-6 PM followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 PM.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Monday, August 31, 2015 at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Kerrville, Texas. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Fredericksburg, Texas.
