Vincent J. Valentini, 80, of Summit Hill, passed away on Monday, Aug. 24, in the St. Luke's Miner Memorial Hospital Geriatric Center, Coaldale.

He was the husband of the late Betty (Stamper) Valentini.

He was the self-employed owner of a window factory in Macungie.

Born in Summit Hill, he was a son of the late Anthony and Nicolina (Mascarella) Valentini.

He served in the U.S. Air Force as a sergeant, having been stationed at Sampson Air Base.

Valentini was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the American Legion Post 316, both of Summit Hill, and was a member and past president of the St. Gabriel's Italian Club, Summit Hill.

Surviving is two sons, Marc, and his wife, Norene, of Tamaqua, and Vincent of Summit Hill; a daughter Nicole of Emmaus; two brothers, Pasquale, and his wife, Marie, of Lansford, and Anthony, and his wife, Rose Marie, of Levittown; two sisters, Florence Bartal of Bristol and Ann Marie, wife of Robert Heffelfinger of Levittown; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Russell; and a sister, Jane Katkocin.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial noon Friday, Aug. 28, St. Joseph Catholic Church, 462 W. Ludlow St., Summit Hill.

Interment, parish cemetery, White Bear, Summit Hill. Call 10 a.m.-noon Friday in the church.

Contributions in his name may be made to the church, 18250.
