Mrs. Jessie Marie Carr, 83, of Maysville, died June 13, at Grant Memorial Hospital, Petersburg.
Born Feb. 13, 1920, in Jordan Run, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Christian Berg and Dolly (Barger) Berg. She was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Ora Berg; and her husband, Julius V. Carr, Feb. 3, 1998.
She is survived by two sons, Larry D. Carr and Gary A. Carr, both of Maysville; three daughters, Elma G. Layton of New Creek, Geneva B. Hedrick of Belington, and Geraldine L. Evans of Maysville; one brother, Arlie Berg of Maysville; two half brothers, David Berg and Vernon Berg, both of Maysville; one half sister, Betty Smith of Harrisonburg, Va.; 26 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were June 16, at Cabins Assembly of God Church, with interment in the Barger Cemetery, Jordan Run.
