She with her husband made a profession of religion in Persia, N.Y., under th ministrations of Eld. W. B. Gillette, was baptized by him, and united with that church, and has remained in fellowship with the Seventh-day Baptist Church until death called her home."

Almira was the daughter of Amos Brown. She married George Clark Babcock on April 1834, in Brookfield, Madison Co., New York. From this union four children were born: Oscar Babcock b. 15 Mar 1835, Delia Babcock (Black) b. 09 Jan 1838, Ellen Babcock, and Herman Allen Babcock, b. 19 May 1842. All births were in Persia, Cattaraugus Co., New York.
