He was born in Bartow, Florida on November 20, 1925. He was a farmer and road builder. He served in the Army during World War II in France. He was a member of North Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Santa Fe.
Preceded in death by parents Hugh Brewster and Lucille Holder Stidham (Hooker), he is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Etoile Davis Stidham; his children, Sharon (Butch) Mullins, Carl (Kim) Stidham, Patricia Lawson, and Sidney (Traci) Stidham, all of Sante Fe; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Lavonne Webb and JoAnne (Bud) Seabrooke, both of Bradenton, FL; and brother Ira (Peggy) Stidham of Santa Fe.
Funeral services will be held at the North Pleasant Grove Baptist Church on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 11:00am with Bro. Bobby Clyatt and Bro. Paul O'Steen officiating. Interment will follow at the North Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church an hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to Haven Hospice of North Florida.
Arrangements have been placed under the care of Rick Gooding Funeral Home, Cross City, Florida, 352-498-5400.
