OAKRIDGE - Jody J. Lowry of Oakridge died July 5 of cancer at age 75. No service is planned.

He was born Nov. 12, 1930, in Mead, Okla., to James and Josie Lemons Lowry. He married Joyce Brown on Sept. 1, 1972, in Grants Pass.

He retired from the Josephine County road department after 20 years as a heavy-equipment operator and also worked in the oil field industry in Texas.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Ron of Oakridge; four daughters, Evelyn Bringfield of Myrtle Creek, Christy Gravon of Oakridge, Kim Dyer of Kalispell, Mont., and Kathy Smith of Springfield; a brother, John of Spokane; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
