Mrs. Lois D. Crocker, 93, widow of Mr. Charles S. Crocker, died August 23, 2015 at the home of her daughter in Aiken, SC. She was born February 16, 1922 in Hall County, Georgia the daughter of Claude Edward Dills and Bertha Ann Dills. She was a resident of Macon, Georgia for 60 years.
She retired from the Georgia Department of Health, Vital Statistics after 20 years of service. She was an active member with the Sweet Adelines International singing group. She was a world traveler visiting many foreign countries and was particularly fond of Greece and Australia. She was an adventuress and always open to new experiences, including taking a powderpuff auto mechanics course, hang-gliding and learning to fly.
She is survived by her daughter, Toni C. Lewis, her granddaughter, Lynn (Dr. Kevin J. Weis) Lewis-Weis, great-grandchildren Ethan L. Weis and Madelyn G. Weis all of Aiken, South Carolina. A sister Mildred Noles of Lowell, North Carolina, nephews Steven (Rosalee) Noles of Mt. Holley, North Carolina and Mark (Cyndi) Noles of Cramerton, North Carolina, and great-nephews Andrew, Daniel, and Matthew Noles. And a long-time, devoted companion, Robert Polhamus of Castleberry, Florida.
