Mrs Henry Sawyer has died at age 87
We regret to announce the death of an old and respected resident of our city, Mrs. Henry Sawyer, at her residence on Central Ave., age 87 years and some months.
Although she was sick for a while, her death was unexpected, saddening her family and friends.
The late Mrs. Sawyer was born in Bethel, Maine. In 1864, she married Henry Sawyer, of Sawyerville, Quebec. She leaves three daughters: Mrs. L.A. Babb, of Andover, Massachusetts, Mrs. J. Herrington, of Cornwall, Ontario, and Mrs. R. G. Smith, of this city; and one son, Mr. L.A.A. Sawyer, of Montreal.
The funeral was held at her residence and officiated by Rev. M. W. P. Wornel. The family received a great number of floral tributes and message of sympathy. Burial took place at Mount Forest in the family plot, where she was buried next to her husband, who preceded her in death last December.
