Born in Hyde County Sept. 1, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Gibbs and Nancy Stowe. She was married to Norfleet E. Deal who preceded her in death.
She was a member of Mt. Olive Church of Christ, a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Ruby enjoyed working and cooking for her family.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the family plot at Radcliff family cemetery. Pastor Mike Wheeler will officiate.
Surviving are two sons, Robert L. Deal of Lawton, Okla., and Durwood A. Deal of Washington; two daughters, Edna Earl D. Equils of Swan Quarter and Lois D. Cahoon of Swan Quarter; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Annie D. Dixon; four brothers John Gibbs, Osborn Gibbs, Mariner Gibbs and Ellis Gibbs.
