Clementene D. Schultz, 75, of Baxter, formerly of Kellogg, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at Baxter Care Center in Baxter.

A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton with the Rev. A.B. Sudbrock of the Newton Baptist Temple officiating. Burial will be at Our Silent City Cemetery in Kellogg.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home, and the family will greet friends from noon to 1 p.m. Memorials in Clementene's name may be left at the funeral home.

The daughter of Clem and Floy (Farris) Hawk, she was born Feb. 7, 1931, in rural Plano. She married Roy Schultz in Minnesota and was a homemaker and a farmer's wife. She was a lifelong resident of rural Kellogg.

Survivors include a sister, Palymyra (and Lloyd "Sonnie") Dodson of Fort Madison; a brother, Glen (and Helen) Hawk of Centerville; two nephews, Monty (and Vickie) Habben and Greg (and Beth) Hawk; two nieces, Sonya Sue (and Jeff) Taylor and Debra Hawk; and other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy; son, Roy Jr.; one brother and one sister in infancy; three half-brothers, Joe, George and Harold; and two half-sisters, Leona and Louise.
