Herschel Clay Gordon, 93, of Greenfield died Sept. 26, 2003. Born Dec. 31, 1909, in Hendricks County, he was the son of Jesse and Ludie (McCloud) Gordon.

He was owner and operator of Gordon Plumbing, Heating and air Conditioning Service in Greenfield. He was a member of the Senior Citizens Center.

Survivors include his wife Lurene Gordon, whom he married on Nov. 28, 1987; son Darrell Gordon of Greenfield; stepson Donald Hudson of Greenfield; stepdaughters Barbara Shoufler of Fortville and Charlotte Slaughter of Greenfield; sister Mabel Armstrong of Indianapolis; two grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister Bessie Busenbark; brother Lee Gordon; and first wife Hazel (Roeschlein) Gordon.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pasco-Stillinger Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Enyart officiating.

Burial will be at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
