Local Brothers Meet In Korea,
Units Located 1 ½ Miles Apart

Two local brothers who had not seen each other for more than a year and a half met June 5 in Korea and discovered their units are located only about one and a half miles apart.

Pvt. Leo T. Baugher, who sailed for Japan on May 2, is now in Korea where his brother, Cpl. William C. Baugher, also is stationed after sailing for Japan a year and a half ago. Although Private Baugher knew his brother was in Korea he did not learn where the latter's unit was located until early this month.

Although the units actually are only a little over a mile apart it was necessary to walk five miles to reach the camp because the fields between are mined the boys wrote.

Private Baugher is with the 89th med. Tk. Bn. And his brother is in the 27th Inf. Reg. Word of the meeting was received by Private Baugher's wife Mary, 421 ½ Franklin. Private Baugher was employed in the composing room of the News Dispatch at the time of his induction.
