Janice Ann Odom, age 66, of Alexander, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2015. She was born October 31, 1948 in Fayetteville, AR to the late Elbert Oxford and Opal Oxford Key. She attended New Song Church of God in Alexander and previously worked for the State of Arkansas. In addition to her family, she loved to knit and sew, was gifted in photography and enjoyed camping in her younger years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Oxford and one sister, Christina Scroggins.
Survivors include her husband of over fifty years, Virgil Odom; two daughters, Angela DeYoung (Andy) of Rogers and Alisha Leard of Alexander; five grandchildren, David DeYoung, Andrea Schaugaard, Kevin DeYoung, Ashley Harris and Amber Harris; one sister, Joann Lewis of Farmington; one brother, Gene Oxford of Ozark; her mother-in-law, Maddeline Odom, many nieces and nephews; other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2015 at the Church of the Nazarene, 9 Cherry St, Farmington, AR 72730. Interment will follow at Cemetery Hill in Farmington.
