Sara Weathers Peden, 86, widow of John Robert Peden, went to be with the Lord, Monday, September 28, 2015.
Mrs. Peden was born October 6, 1928 in Hickory Tavern to the late John Hosea and Annie Mae Thomason Weathers. She loved to cook, bake, shop, and spend time with her family. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and the G.A.'s and was a member of the Lily Chapman Sunday school class.
Surviving, are a son, Sam Peden (Lynn); a daughter, Tammie Madden (Phillip); four grandchildren, Carroll (Becki) and Garrett Peden and Clay (Mary Margaret) and Katie Madden; two great-grandchildren, Sarah and Heidi Peden and a brother, Alton Weathers (Helen). She was predeceased by a brother, Ansel Weathers.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Fletcher Funeral Service.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Beulah Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Chris Brian and Mr. Wofford Woods. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
