Son of Israel Johns and Lydia Ann Johns. Husband of Luella Junkins.

Obituary:
George E. Johns, 86, of Mt. Pleasant, RD 1 (United), died Tuesday at 3:37 a.m. at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William J. Hausele, of United. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Trauger, and was a pensioner of the H.C. Frick Coal and Coke Co. The deceased is survived by the following children: Mrs. Lottie Brown, Grindstone; Sherman Johns, Youngwood, and Mrs. Nora Hausele, Mt. Pleasant, RD 1. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Hausele, of United. The body will lie in state at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Trauger, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday when funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Myron E. Cole. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with the James P. Gaut Funeral Home in charge.
