Cynthia Janeen Waters Aaltonen, 47, of 171 Midway Terrace, Gaffney, S.C. went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 16, 2015.

Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of Terrance "Terry" Lee Aaltonen and the daughter of Phillip "Phil" Vernon Waters and Jane Owensby Waters.

She was a graduate of Gaffney Day School, a member of the Daniel Morgan Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of the Moses Wood Chapter #469 United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was also a volunteer for the Cherokee County History and Arts Museum and the Cherokee Historical and Preservation Society.

She formerly worked for Childers Heating and Air and was a homemaker. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2015 at Midway Baptist Church. A memorial service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. at the church with Reverend Vernon Craig and Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating. Interment will be in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery.
