Dr. Marshall Va. Dentist for 49 Years
Dr. John W. Marshall, 82, of 1325 Iris st. nw., a Virginia dentist for 49 years, 15 of them at Fairfax, died Tuesday at St. Elizabeths Hospital. Dr. Marshall, a native of Carroll County, Va., was graduated from Union Medical College, Richmond, in 1896. He practiced dentistry in Laurel Fort, Hillsville, Galax and Herndon, Va., as well as Fairfax, until he retired in 1945 because of ill health. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Hattie O. Marshall; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur A. Stacy of the home address and Mrs. Wilbur Baughman, Olney, Md.; a son, Aubrey E. Marshall, Augusta, Ga.; two brothers, C. T. Marshall, Amelia County, Va. and S. R. Marshall, Cleveland, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Walker Moles, of Colorado, five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Services will take place at 2 p. m. Saturday at the Hines Funeral Home, 2901 14th st., nw.
