He was a member of White Oak Baptist Church for 50 years and also a business owner of Automotive parts and Service. He loved people, fishing and belonged to an antique car club. He enjoyed gospel singings and country music. He is preceded in death by: parents, Barnett and Ida Harris; brothers, Paul Harris and Thurman Harris. He is survived by: daughter, Kathy Harris James of Spring City, Tennessee; son, Jeff (Brenda) Harris of Spring City, Tennessee; sister, Reba (Jack) Hutsell of Dayton, Tennessee; brothers, Earl Harris of Dayton, Tennessee and Clyde Harris of Hixson, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Jessica (Aaron) Burlingame of Kingston, Tennessee, Justin Harris of Spring City, Tennessee and Emily (P.J.) Sawyer of Spring City, Tennessee; five great-grandchildren, Lexi Bishop, Jagger "D.J." Wesolowski, Neyland Sawyer, Emily Grace Sawyer and Jessica Sawyer; and also the mother of his children, Lois Harris of Spring City, Tennessee.
