Georgia Wills Kyser was the daughter of Dr. George Washington and Sallie Patton Kyser. She attended the local schools of Richmond and Carlowville, AL and was graduated with honors in mathematics from Agnes Scott Institute in Atlanta, GA in 1901. On April 27, 1905 she was married to Beekman Lee Youngblood, son of Isaac Youngblood and Isabelle Lee. Their home was known as Camellia Hall in Carlowville, AL. Georgia had a life long interest in genealogy and wrote and published several family history books. She was a life long member of the DAC, DAR and Colonial Dames and served as State Regent of the DAR. Much of her work and papers now exist in the Alabama Archives and History collection in Montgomery, AL.
