Published in The Monroe Evening News (MI) - Feb 16, 2007 - James Paul Clark, 81, of New Boston died Wednesday in Riverview.

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Flat Rock chapel of Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Mark Zender of Willow United Methodist Church will officiate. Afterward, members of Downriver Veterans Honor Guard will conduct services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Port Creek Cemetery.

Born Jan. 12, 1926, in Mayfield, Ky., he was the son of Asa and Ola (Ray) Clark. He married his wife Violet July 13, 1970, in Canton.

A conductor and brakeman, he worked for DT&I Railroad for 38 years, retiring in 1997.

He served in the Army during World War II, attaining the rank of staff sergeant.

Mr. Clark was a member of DT&I Old Timers Club and Miller-Strawn Post 9363, Veterans of Foreign Wars, for which he was post commander.

Surviving are his wife; four daughters, Madeline King, Tammie Cole, Dolores (Robert) Sieniarecki and Donna Kirtley; a stepson, Duane (Wendy) Kittle; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sons, Michael, Paul and Patrick; a stepson, Dennis Kittle; two brothers, Ralph and Hugh, and two sisters, Opal Schultz and Louise Adams.
