Gary Lynn Harris, age 65 of Harrison, AR, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015 at the Hospice House in Harrison.
The son of G.W. Harris and Marcella (Nichols) Henley was born January 30, 1950 in Odessa, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother Ronnie Harris.
Gary was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was an excellent cook and loved to entertain family and friends with his humor and stories. He was also a 32nd degree Mason. Gary owned and operated Harris Grocery in St. Joe for many years and was a former employee of Kraft Foods, Ramsey Motors, and Community First Bank.
He is survived by his daughter, Molly Harris and her mother Brenda Harris both of Harrison; his sister, Sharon Harris of Harrison; a close uncle E.J. Pyle of Florida; his cousin Kenny Carr of Forsythe, MO; his dearest friend, Ronnie Ramsey of Harrison; and other family and friends.
Visitation will be open during business hours at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the First Christian Church in Harrison with Brother James Dorfis Smithson officiating along with Dr. David Artman. Burial will follow in Osborne Cemetery in St. Joe, AR.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Ramsey, Tammy Garry, Debbie Hopper, Kelly King, Cindy Ramsey, Kaye Ratchford, Wanda Schmidt, Marilyn Wallis, and Vickie White.
Honorary pallbearers are Kenny Carr, Billy Fisk, Fred Garry, Bud Gregory, Bobby Hopper, Jerry Loggins, Tom Ramsey, Ken Reeves, Taylor White.
