Mr. Hermes was born on May 1, 1959, in Jacksonville the son of Richard and Jacolyn Phillips Hermes. He was a computer programmer for St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia.
He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Centralia and Knights of Columbus 4372 in New Berlin.
Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard J. Hermes of Alexander; two brothers, John and Patrick Hermes of Alexander; one sister, Mrs. Paul (Michelle) Osborne of Litchfield; grandmother, Mrs. Ruth Phillips of Jacksonville; one nephew; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Visitation BVM Church in Alexander, with the Rev. John Moore officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
