My great-grandmother

She was the daughter of Butler Cass Waller and Lucy Ann Overstreet Waller. Was the wife of Charles Franklin Lindsey. They had two children a son Napoleon Lafayette "Buddie" Lindsey, who died at 14 years old and my grandmother,Victoria Ann Lindsey. She had one son Scott Anderson Waller Lindsey before she was married to Charles Franklin Lindsey. He is not the son of Charles Lindsey.
CagRANNY AND GRANDPA cHARLES WERE MARRIED mARCH 10 1908 IM wAYNE cOUNTY mS

I was 9 years old when granny died,I have so many wonderful memories of her and I loved her so much. She was 70 years old when I was born but she did not act it she would still sweep her yard herself.in case some are too young to know what that is people in the country did not let grass grow in the yard they would hoe it out because they did not have mowers and they would sweep it to keep it clean and she did like things clean.I tried my best to stay there. She lived down the road from us and I would just take off and walk up there and not tell anyone I was going but daddy always knew where to fine me and he would come and get me and say you are going to be in trouble and she would tell him leave that baby alone so I soon learned I could get away with anything with her. When she would make biscuits she would let me play in the dough daddy always said if he had just touched the bowl she would have slapped him out the kitchen door she said that is how I would learn to make biscuits and I did maybe not from her since I was so young but it was a start. We would walk up to the highway and catch the grayhound bus and ride to town so she could do her shopping and I always got a lot of things to she always got me the big purple grapes, pre sweeten cereal and coconut candy the bar with the three colors on it and even today when I see that candy bar I always think of granny, then we would go down the street to Jake's hamburger place and I got a hamburger and a peach drink and then someone in town would take us back home.Oh how I miss that time. She was one special granny.
