Military Rites Are Held For Veteran
Military rites in Flickering, Digier Chapel today marked a parting tribute to Henry Burnett, 39 year old Kern Co. World War veteran who died in a Whipple, Arizona Veteran's hospital last week. The Rev. C. W. Opie officiated at the chapel service and Mrs. Pearle Smith was soloist. An American Legion firing squad and escort accompanied the body to its last resting place in the Legion plot in Union Cemetery.

The veteran leaves his mother Mrs. Louisa Burnett of Long Beach, Calif., his father John Burnett of Licking, Mo., four brothers and four sisters: C. E. Burnett, Fellows, California; Fred Burnett, Long Beach, California; Robert Burnett, Canada; Mrs. Barbara Stone of Fellows, California; Mrs. Lulu Tory of Santa Paula, California; Mrs. Nora Williams, Mrs. Emma Murray and Craven Burnett all of Licking, Mo.
