TWO LIVINGSTON COUNTY MEN ARE MISSING IN ACTION
Two Livingston county men were reported today to be missing in action. They are Corporal Bernard Bonderer and Robert Grant.

Robert Grant, son of W F and Agnes McKenzie Grant, is reported missing in action according to a message received today from the war department by his father. He was last heard of in Italy.
Grant, 26 years old, was born north of Wheeling and grew to manhood in that community. He attended the New York school in that community and also St Joseph Academy.
His sister, Mrs Ed Walz of east of the city, recently received a letter from Grant. He has a brother, Edwin Grant, who is serving with General MacArthur's division.
He entered the service in November 1942, and had seen service in Africa and Italy.

CONFIRM DEATH OF ROBERT F GRANT
Confirmation has been made of the death of Robert Francis Grant, 26-year-old Chillicothe boy, who had been reported missing in action. He was killed on May 9 in the Mediterranean area, according to word received by his mother, Mrs Agnes Grant, who now lives at 2328 Troost, Kansas City.
His father is Bill Grant of Chillicothe.
Young Grant, a storekeeper third class, enlisted in the Navy in January, 1943. Until his enlistment he worked as a multigraph operator in the Commerce Trust Company in Kansas City.
After boot training at Great Lakes naval training station he was assigned to a sub chaser and had engaged in battles in Gibralter, Oran, Algiers, Tunis, Bizerte, Salerno, and his ship took part in the initial invasion of Sicily.
Bob Grant attended school in and near Chillicothe. He was a member of St Patrick's Catholic Church in Kansas City and a mass was said for him there a few days after he first was reported missing.
Mrs E G Walz of east of Chillicothe is a sister, and there are three brothers: Corporal Edwin R Grant, South Pacific; Ronald Grant, Kansas City; and Bernard Grant, Detroit [Michigan].
PFC Robert Feeney, son of Mr and Mrs John Feeney of south of Chula, is a cousin of the young man. PFC Feeney was wounded in action in France on July 28 and in action in France on July 28 and is now in a hospital in England, according to word received here last week.
