Mr. Abel was born June 1, 1890, in Silver Lake Township Martin County MN. He married Elda Rosenberg June 12, 1922 at Grand Forks ND. They farmed in the Fairmont area until 1968 when they moved to Welcome, MN. He is survived by his widow and 8 children, Walter (Carolyn), Arnold (Boots0, Edwin (Marlene), and Howard (Eileen) all of Welcome, MN. Irvin (Faye) of New Ulm, MN and Norman (Sue) Evelyn (Bill Koons) of Fairmont,MN. Joan Riegel (John) of Elk Grove Village, IL; 24 grandchildren; five brothers, William of Ceylon, Albert, John, and Henry of Fairmont, MN.; Otto of Minneapolis: three sisters, Mrs. Rosa Rosenberg of Welcome; Mrs. Freida (Earl) Juhl of Sherburn: Mrs.Minnie (Earl) Snyder of Fairmont, MN.
