Eva Elizabeth Stephens, 94, of Stevensville, died May 3 at Corsica Hills Nursing Center in Centreville.

Mrs. Stephens was born in Dominion, now known as Chester, and was the daughter of Robert E. and Clara Jones Lee. She attended school in Chester. When she was 17, she moved to Crownsville where she met and later married Joseph B. Stephens. In 1936 they moved to Reisterstown, where they opened an antique shop, which today is part of Antique Row there.

After Mr. Stephens died in 1981, she returned to Chester. She attended Queen Anne's County Adult Day Care and Senior Center in Centreville and Grasonville.

Surviving are two sons, Joseph B. Stephens Jr. of Westminster and Edward Franklin Stephens Sr. of Conowingo in Cecil County; one daughter, Mary Geraldine "Jerry" Rhoten of Stevensville; six grandchildren; and 12 greatgrandchildren. She was predeceased by three sisters, Reba Rada, Dorothy Baxter and Mae Maise, and one brother, Lester Lee.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Baltimore. Arrangements are by Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home in Chester.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Kent County, 711 Washington Ave., No. 29-174, Chestertown, MD 21620.
