Obituary:


Rodney Gene Mason, 75, husband of Jane Roe Mason, passed away in Lexington on August 13, 2015. He was born November 25, 1939 in Scott County to the late Oscar and Ada Belle Curtis Mason.



He retired from the Commonwealth of Kentucky as a printer, was a member of Caesarea Church of Christ in Stamping Ground, and a graduate of Scott County High School. He loved U.K. Basketball, and enjoyed fishing, bowling, and softball.



Along with his wife Jane, he is survived by children, Permelia "Millie" (Mike) Pence of Louisville, Annette (Matthew) Elam of Georgetown, and Tara (Victor) Cabrera of Stamping Ground; 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; brother, Gerald Mason of Georgetown; sisters, Carlene Goebel and Lillian Rogers both of Frankfort.



Funeral services are 2:30pm Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Tucker, Yocum, & Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor John Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery with pallbearers being Matthew Elam, Victor Cabrera, Jason Wright, Jonathan Pence, Zack Elam, Martin Vera, William Whitcomb, and Michael Pence. Visiting hours begin at 12:30pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
