Karen Fulkersin, age 73, of Shickshinny, died Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at Wilkes Barre General Hospital after a lengthy battle with cancer for the past 28 years.
Born October 28, 1941 in Shickshinny, she was the daughter of the late George Turner and Grace (Sulcoski) Turner
She was a graduate of Northwest High School.
Among her interests were gardening around the house especially her iris’s and roses, and she loved her son Wade’s dog, Molly the chiwawa.
Preceding her in death was her brother George Turner.
Surviving are her two daughters: Pamela, wife of Brian Slotter, Pennsburg, PA;
And Lisa Fulkersin of Nanticoke; two sons: Donald Byron Fulkersin and his wife Pamela, and Wade J. Fulkersin both of Shickshinny; five grandchildren; two sisters: Elise, wife of Robert Stepanski, Shickshinny, and Frances Wenner of Bendertown; two brothers: Ronald Turner and his wife Shirley, and Eugene Turner and his wife Alice both of Shickshinny.
A visitation will be held Saturday, August 15, 2015, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at 11:00, at the Mayo Funeal Home, Inc., 77 North Main Street, Shickshinny, with Pastor Timothy Hall of Nebo Baptist Church, Nanticoke.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mayo Funeral Home, Inc., Shickshinny.
Interment will be in Dodson Cemetery, Southdale.
