She was born July 22, 1912, in Gasconade, Missouri, a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Glick Lampkin.
She was married April 28, 1930 in Jefferson City, Missouri, to Lafe O. Gove, who died September 5, 1994.
She was a homemaker and was also employed by Cheesebrough-Ponds as a machine operator. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by two children: Kenneth Gove and Betty Gartin.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law: Lillian Gove of Jefferson City; and a son-in-law: Lavon Gartin of Mountain Grove, Missouri; two grandchildren: Keith Gove and Joyce Finke, both of Jefferson City; five great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; one step-granddaughter; one brother: Oscar Lampkin, of Union, Missouri; two sisters: Ollie Koch, of Hermann, Missouri and Adell Echinburgh of Washington, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by five brothers. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 31, 2003, at Morton Funeral Home, Linn. Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 31, 2003, at Morton Funeral Home, in Linn. The Rev. Glenn Holem will officiate.
Burial will be in Linn Memorial Park Cemetery.
