Roy is the son of John G Allison and Alice (Pottenger) Allison.

ALLISON, Sr., John L (Roy), aged 63 of Northridge, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 1999. Roy was born in Dayton, October 30, 1934, and presently employed with Garner Brothers, Inc. He is survived by his wife, Neva, son John Allison, Jr; 2 stepsons, Ronald Thomas and Robert Duaine Matheny; stepdaughter Terri Matheny; 3 stepgrandsons, Jerry, Chris and Robby; mother, Alice Allison; 2 sisters, Carol Brush and Helen Cridgler and 4 brothers, Bob, Bill, Roger and Clarence Allison. Funeral service 10:30 AM Thursday at the GEORGE C MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, "NORTHRIDGE CHAPEL", 5040 Frederick Pike at Needmore Road. Pastor James Hender officiating. Interment Royal Oak Cemetery. Roy's family will receive friends 5-8 P.M. Wednesday (TODAY) at the funeral home. If desired, memorials may may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45420.
