A seed of greatness was planted inside of Bishop Irvin Dingle Jr. when he was born in Clarendon County, South Carolina on August 13, 1925. His parents, the late Irvin Dingle Sr. and Theola Riley Dingle, were both God fearing people who taught their children to sever the LORD. They were blessed with eight children of which Irvin was the fourth.GOD had a great plan for Irvin's life. Irvin's preparation started at the early age of five. One Sunday Irvin was left alone in Church for several hours because his parents forgot about him; however, once his parents discovered Lil Irvin (AS they called him) was not with them,
they took the long walk back to the Church to get him. They found Lil Irvin asleep. GOD was putting something inside this small child that would last for eighty-nine years. GOD was preparing Irvin to become a Teacher, Preacher and a Faithful Servant.

In 1945 Irvin was united in marriage to the late Janet Robinson. To this union three daughters were born: Deloris, Marthenia and Mary Stella. Irvin relocated his family to Miami, Florida (Coconut Grove) in 1947 Irvin was employed with Griffin Roofing Company. Irvin began to learn a trade that would be his life-long profession. Irvin moved his family into the home of Bishop Claude Mincey (this was not by accident) and there Irvin began a life-long Ministry. The United Christian Church of Christ, Inc. began in the home of Bishop Mincey on Grand Avenue. Deacon Irvin Dingle was one of the Co-Founders. On August 10, 1952 Irvin became the first Ordained Pastor. In the late 1960's Irvin was Consecrated a Bishop.

The seed of greatness was beginning to grow and develop into greater. Irvin gained enough Knowledge while working with Griffin Roofing Company to start his own Business. Irvin started out by walking to work to the Coral Gables instead of catching the bus. The bus fare was a nickel. Irvin would walk to and from work and he would put the nickels in a huge jar. Irvin saved for years, until he had enough to purchase a pickup truck and a Tar Kettle. During this time Irvin continued working for Griffin Roofing Company. Eventually, in 1968 Irvin left Griffin Roofing Company to devote his time and energy to his own Business, the Dingle Roofing Company.

In 1960 Irvin was united in Holy Matrimony to his faithful, loyal and dedicated companion, Arlena Jackson(Evangelist Dr.
Arlena Dingle). In this union four children were born~ twins
Vivian Denise and David LeArthur~ Irvin Christopher and Elijah Bain.

Bishop Irvin Dingle spent his last years in the care of his wonderful caregiver, his wife. She was such a blessing to the man she promised till death do us part. She took care of him and brought Bishop to Church when he was unable to bring himself. Mother Dingle lived and kept her Vows to her husband. She was always by Bishop's side even until the time
of his death. She cared for him and cared about him; her love, dedication and loyalty were with him until the end.

Bishop Irvin Dingle will be sadly missed by his loving and devoted wife of fifty-four years, Evangelist Dr. Arlena Dingle~ his children: Deloris Dingle Howard, Dr. Marthenia Dingle Dupree, Mary Estella Dingle Armstrong(John), Vivian Denise Dingle Roberts(Frank), Pastor David LeArthur Dingle Sr.(Jewel), Irvin Christopher Dingle(LaDonna), Minister Elijah Bain Dingle and Valencia Fay Hill.
