Jo Edna Towkach, 67, of Jacksonville passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2006. Born March 17, 1939 in Georgiana, AL to Joseph Burrell and Nannie Snead Lee. Jo was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She married the love of her life, Paul in Pensacola, FL, 1960 and served her country as a 'Navy Wife' from 1960-1978. Together, Jo and Paul were a member of the Gateway RC Club.
She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Paul A. Towkach; children, Tina T. Jordan (Russell), Timothy Towkach (Melissa) and Thomas Towkach; brothers, Jack (Jean), Buck (Karen) and James (Kathy) Lee; sisters, Diann Hood (Vernon) and Emma Ruth Colvin (Randy); step-sister, Virginia Karnes; grandchildren, Christine and Ryan Jordan, Caroline, Paul and Shelby Towkach and many other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 15, 2006 at Hardage Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave with Rev. Thomas S. Keisler, Jr. officiating. Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Jo's name to Community Hospice of NE FL.
