Ed passed away at his residence on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 following a lengthy illness. Age 81 years. He was born in Mt. Clemens, MI on November 15, 1933 to the late Carl and Louise (Beckett) Bellhorn. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust. Ed retired from Newcor after 37 years of service. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, five children, eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two brothers, two sisters, four sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral and Committal Services will take place Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust. Officiating will be Rev. William H. Allwartdt followed by Military Honors conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council. Private burial will take place at Mt. Joy Cemetery in Harrisville, MI. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday to receive family and friends from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Ed will be taken to the church to lie in state on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to St. Paul Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
