New Iberia—Funeral services will be held for Mr. Wallace Wilson Thibodeaux, Jr., age 95, on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 1:00 PM at David Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Hampton Davis officiating.

Visitation will begin at David Funeral Home of New Iberia on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 10 AM till the time of service at 1:00 PM.
There will be a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 11:00 AM.

Mr. Wallace Thibodeaux, Jr. passed away on Friday, August 07, 2015 at 6:15 PM at a local nursing care facility in New Iberia, LA.

Wallace was born in Iberia parish on November 20, 1919 to Wallace Thibodeaux, Sr. and Zulma Hebert Thibodeaux.

Wallace retired from Texaco, Inc. where he worked in the oilfields as a mechanic for over 29 years.

Wallace was a Veteran of the United States Army where he proudly served from November of 1940 till his discharge in October of 1945 achieving the rank of Corporal.

Wallace was a member to the Veterans of Foreign Wars; American Legion; Boat Club of New Iberia; Woodmen of the World, Cajun French Music Association (C.F.M.A.) and loved cajun dancing.

He is survived by his daughter; Joan Ellen Bingham and her husband Kenneth of New Iberia, granddaughter; Brooke A. Bingham Odom and her husband Michael of Lafayette, grandson; Brent M. Bingham and his wife Gina Zaragoza Bingham of Biloxi, MS., great granddaughters; Martha Elizabeth Odom, Margaret Ellen Odom and Constance Marie Zaragoza and great grandson; Patrick Wallace Bingham.

He is preceded in death by his wife Laura Mae Dartez Thibodeaux, brothers; Vernon, Clarence, Ned and Grady Thibodeaux, sisters Mavis Guidry, Goldie Alexander and Evelyn Thibodeaux.

Serving as pallbearers; Kenneth Bingham, Brent Bingham, Michael Odom and Creed Dugas
