Opal Virginia Morgan passed away at the Albert Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Ky. on Friday, July 21, 2006, at the age of 81 years, 11 months and 23 days. She was born at Hazard Ky., the daughter of the late Samual Skeens and the late Margaret "Maggie" Baker Skeens. By occupation, Opal worked for Frontier Nursing Service at Wendover as a cook for many years. Some of her hobbies included quilting and gardening. Opal was a member of the Camp Creek Church of Christ and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, Ky. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samual and Margaret Skeens; her husband, Hays Morgan; one daughter, Margaret Gail Sizemore; one son, Tim Morgan; one step-son, Ronald Morgan; and one great-grandson, Dylan Chase Sally. She is survived by three sons, Hubert Morgan and wife, Katie, of Wendover, Ky., Claude Morgan and wife, Deborah, of Wendover, Ky., Roger Morgan and wife, Thelma, of Wendover, Ky.; one step-son, Ralph Morgan and wife, Janet, of Warsaw, Ky.; three daughters, Christine Cooper and husband, Wayne, of Camdenton, Mo.; Glinda Anderson and husband, Lonnie, of Williamsburg, Ky.; Katherine Mullins and husband, Ott, of London, Ky.; one step-daughter, Barbara Stidham and husband, Delver, of Connersville, Ind.; two sisters, Sylvia Dehart of Wooton, Ky., and Anna Adams and husband, Kenneth of Hyden, Ky.; 25 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, July 24, at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home in Hyden, Ky., with the Rev. William Craig Melton and Dr. Wayne Cooper officiating. Visitation was held at 6 p.m., Sunday, July 23 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel in Hyden, Ky. Burial will be at the Hurricane Cemetery of Hyden, Ky.
