Services for Ruby Monette Lewis, 40, were held today at 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian church, Rev. J. Allen Anderson, officiating.

The daughter of the later Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Cheek, Mrs. Lewis was born July 26, 1915 in Mangum. She had been in ill health for the past two years, but died suddenly Tuesday evening.

A graduate of Mangum highschool class of 1933, she had spent her life here, working many years as bookkeeper with the late Mr. and Mrs. I. W. Cunningham. After their passing she continued keeping books for several business firms and was also engaged in the real estate and insurance business.

She was a member of the Rebekah lodge, serving as Past Noble Grand. She resigned recently as historian of the highschool alumni association. She was also active in the BPW club.

Survivors include her husband, two sons, Robert Aaron and Charles Marion; one sister, Mrs. R. C. Jones, Oklahoma City; one brother, Major James E. Cheek, Swinfurt, Germany.

Interment services at Riversidecemetery will be under the direction of the Rebekah lodge.
