Mrs. Ethelene Dyer, age 85, of Blairsville, died Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at her residence.

Mrs. Dyer was born in Union County, Sunday, December 22, 1918, a daughter of the late Bennett William and Ella (Hood) Saxon. She was a member of Pinetop Baptist Church. Mrs. Dyer was the widow of the late Lester Calvin Dyer.

Survivors include: daughter, Audrey Ledford of Blairsville; sons, Jack and Sheila Dyer of Young Harris, and Robert Melvin and Carole Dyer of Kennesaw; brother Comer Saxon of Blairsville, GA; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 23, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Pinetop Baptist Church with Rev. R. L. Frizzell officiating. Pallbearers will be Greg Dyer, Bob Dyer, Justin Houser, Roger Houser, Fred Comer, and Mark Harrington. burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 until 9 p.m
