Bill worked several jobs (cab driver, lumber yard worker, state road employee) but finally settled into a career of air conditioning and refrigeration repair for the Prince Georges County Public School System of which he retired.
Bill served in the U.S. Navy and was assigned to the USS Cadmus. He was honorably discharged.
Bill enjoyed retirement for about three years before leaving this life suddenly. He left behind his wife, three children, one son-in-law (Joseph Puckett), and one grand daughter (Casey Puckett).
