Mrs. Astleford was born Nov. 26, 1949 in San Antonio to Evelyn and Bill Coker, but lived her young life in Livingston. She graduated from Livingston High School in 1968 and moved to Houston, where she met and married the love of her life, Seldon Astleford.
She died June 17 in St. Joseph Hospital following a long and brave battle with cancer.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joe and Nola Buller and J.C. and Willie Coker and uncle, Reams Buller.
Survivors include her husband of 26 1/2 years, Seldon Astleford; mother and stepfather, Evelyn and Alfred Sumrall of Livingston; sister and husband, Becky and Terry Browning of Houston; brothers and wives, Lloyd and Lori Coker of Houston and John and Rose Coker of California; uncles and aunts, Hodge and Ethel Buller of Louisiana and Wallace and Foy Buller of Livingston; aunt and uncle, Edna and L.P. Marsh of League City; aunts, Carol and her husband Joe Pridgen of Livingston, and Virginia and her husband Dick Hubert of Livingston; stepbrother and wife, Buddy and Diane Sumrall of Crockett; stepsister and husband, Jewel and Billy Collins of Livingston and numerous nieces, nephews and many other relatives, friends and coworkers.
